What Makes a Good Cover
Letter?
如何写好英文求职信?
准备好一份英文简历后,先别着急草草把它寄走了事。简历上通常还需再附上一封求职信(Cover Letter)。招聘广告上虽然一般不会对此做出要求,但是这封求职信能使人看出你对这份工作的重视和诚意。它为你提供一个机会强调你自身的特长以及你对未来的职位所可能做出的贡献。写求职信则要注意以下几点:

1.注意英文书信的格式。商业书信的格式一般为写信人的地址在右上角;日期及收信人的地址在左上角,
但在写信人的地址之下,而电脑格式中也可采用全部靠左的格式。信末可用Yours faithfully (or
sincerely)
等友好的短语,然后在打印出来的你的名字上方签上你的名字。

2.避免出现拼写或语法错误,一个错误都不行。

3.对收信人有正确的称呼。如果能了解到谁将是读信的人最好,如果不了解的话对招聘单位的名称也要写
清楚。求职信不能给人留下批量生产,随处散发的印象,要让人觉得是为了这份工作而专门写的。

4.信中应显示出你本人对该招聘单位,对该行业及该职位有相当的了解。

5.尽量用自己的话来写,语气诚恳,实事求是。辞藻华丽,夸张其词都是不可取的;更不能有明显的抄袭
痕迹。
